Scope

Droptext transcribes a short video or audio file that you upload.

Questions

Can I chat with the transcript?

After Get text, use Ask this transcript on the plate. Summarize, pull quotes, or type your own question. That is so you do not leave to paste the text into ChatGPT. Copy and Save stay the main actions.

Is there a Chrome extension?

Yes. Droptext has a Chrome side panel with the same job: drop a file, get text, ask the transcript. It does not add a YouTube or Instagram URL field.

Do I paste an Instagram link?

No. Save or export the file, then drop it.

What is the time limit?

Two minutes. If the file is longer, use Trim first two minutes on the plate.

What does shrinking mean?

The browser turns the media into a small speech file so the original export is not uploaded whole.

Which files are accepted?

mp4, mov, webm, mp3, wav, m4a. Not ogg, not mkv, not a bare Instagram URL.

Do you keep my video?

No library. Processing is for the transcript of that request.

Is Droptext part of Instagram?

No.
