These terms govern your use of Droptext, a tool that transcribes a short video or audio file you upload. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

You save or export a file yourself, drop it on the plate, and receive text. Droptext does not log into Instagram, does not request an Instagram link, and is not a consumer of the Instagram API. Limits for this MVP: 60 seconds. Large files are shrunk in your browser to speech audio before upload. Accepted types: mp4, mov, webm, mp3, wav, m4a. Output quality depends on the recording, language, and the speech model.

Your file

You must have the right to upload the file and to have it transcribed. You are responsible for obtaining consent where the recording includes other people. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. We may refuse or interrupt a request.

No affiliation

Droptext is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., Apple, or any other platform whose files you may export.

As-is

The service is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of accuracy, uptime, or fitness for a particular purpose. Transcripts can be wrong. Do not rely on them as a legal, medical, or official record.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, or goodwill arising from your use of Droptext. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may change, suspend, or end the service, including these limits and these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. The current text is the version published on this page.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of establishment, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country.
